“This trip was amazing, you really can’t describe it with words. I’m never going to forget this.”
Belize is home to the world’s second largest barrier reef. It runs nearly 138 miles along the entirety of the Belizean coastline. The reef sits about one half mile from the island and is accessible by boat.
The barrier reef forms a protected lagoon that has allowed for the formation of many patch and back reefs, mangrove stands and turtle grass beds. We have seen dolphin, manatees and sea turtles on a regular basis.
