"This trip was one of the better experiences of my life.  Once the plane landed and the bus to Clarissa Falls began,

everything I've ever done was put into perspective."         ~2005 Program Participant

Why Belize?

Belize is the gem of the Caribbean for snorkeling and diving!  The world’s second longest barrier reef extends the entire length of the Belizean coastline providing endless miles of back reef to explore by snorkeling and skin diving.  For SCUBA divers the coral canyons of the fore reef provide dramatic submarine formations that would take a lifetime to dive in its entirety.

Belize is home to 3 of the 4 coral atolls in the Caribbean.  In addition to the hundreds of miles of barrier reef and coral atolls there are patch reefs, fringe reefs, spur and groove reefs, sea grass beds, mangroves, and lagoon and rocky shore habitats.  No other country in Central America or the Caribbean can compare with the diversity of Belize.  Belize is also home to the largest concentration of Mayan ruins in all of Central America.
“I have had one of the most amazing times of my life in Belize.  Not only were the activities awesome, but educational and fun as well.”
