Belize Marine T.R.E.C. Expedition dates for the 2007

Program Details
Belize, Week 1:
The Expedition starts with two days on the mainland,
exploring the Mayan cave at Cha-Chem Ha and the ruins at
Xunantunich. Students will then travel to the
island to learn basic coral reef ecology, species
identification and have the option to become SCUBA
certified by signing up for the SCUBA certification
course.
Belize, Week 2:
Students will work in small groups on projects ranging
from fish abundance to coral diversity and health while
learning more about the Mayan culture. There will
be two days off where students can go diving, rent a
kayak or explore the town.

Experience the excitement of cave tubing
Take educational trips to the
Belize Zoo
Visit the neighboring island of Caye Caulker
Important Information
Program Cost:
$4230
Cost is subject to change based on enrollment and
airfare.
This 2 1/2 week program cost includes transportation to and from
the airport, round-trip airfare, and while in Belize:
transportation, lodging, all meals, park fees and taxes.
SCUBA certification participants will get all SCUBA gear
supplied with the exception of mask, fins, snorkel, and
wet suit. Students getting SCUBA certified must
have dive insurance.
A minimum of 10
participants are needed for the program.
Send a $700 deposit along with your application and information form.
Deposit is refundable only if program does not run.
